Located in a quiet suburb; this 2,800 ft², 70’s split-level was in great need of rejuvenation. No surface had been updated for quite some time, and did not speak to the 21st century. This house serves as an investment venture – a flip – for the owner, whose goals were met through a subtle approach to the remodel. The brief contained revamping each bathroom, with the expansion of the primary en-suite, the addition of a new primary closet, the relocation of the former dining room to the former hearth room at the first floor, new flooring, interior doors and paint throughout. The exterior received an updated paint scheme as well, including trimming the existing landscape. Lighting was both removed of the existing, and refocused with the addition of recessed can lighting throughout, and new lighting at the exterior. Feature walls were added at the head wall of the primary suite, and also at the new dining room. The front door remains as a quiet nod to its history, yet was sanded and painted to prolong its continued use.
