Located in a quiet suburb; this Colonial style home was in need of interior space reimagining. The project centered on a more efficient and accessible layout for the Owners at their first floor. The brief contained turning the larger existing living room at the front of the home, into both a gallery-hall off the main entry foyer, and the remaining space into a new primary bedroom, with a new walk-in closet and en-suite shower room. An existing side porch just off the former living room was enclosed to become a library. At the rear of the home, a powder room and laundry room with a new exterior door to a new stoop were added. Additionally, the existing kitchen was given a new seating area, relocation of the existing wall ovens, and pantry cabinets were added to house cookware.
