This home is located in a quiet suburb in Lexington, on a waterfront site. The house will take advantage of views to the large pond to the Southwest, while utilizing skylights and high ceilings, ensuring that light is maintained throughout the building. The program of the home includes an entry foyer with a glass-enclosed courtyard, 4 bedrooms with adjoining en-suites and closets, a common den, a primary suite with adjoining en-suite and walk-in closet, a hidden study and den space, great room and dining room, kitchen and pantry, art studio, and a 4-car garage. There is also a partial basement that houses a mechanical room, kitchenette with island, screening room, and unfinished space to grow into for future use.
The material palette was requested by the owners to be monotone. As most of the neighborhood houses are masonry and some type of siding material other than vinyl; the brick selected for this building is cream, the siding is composite also in a cream tone, and the roofs are primarily a slate-shingle, with accents of standing seam metal in a solid-bronze finish. The windows throughout the house will also be a solid-bronze finish.
